(American) Cornelius, Mrs. (Mary). Young Housekeeper's Friend: or, A Guide to Domestic Economy and Comfort. Periodical or learning aboutOrig. cloth backed printed boards. Sixth Thousand. Boston: Tappan, Whittemore & Mason, 1850. Mrs. Cornelius lived from 1796 1880. Her cookbook focuses on mid 19th c. recipes like veal pot pie, smoked halibut, pickled oysters, apple pie, etc. I love the title of the piscatory chapter: "General Directions for Respecting Fish." Scratches & wear to covers; joints cracked though, thus good, but with great recipes.
