The finer and sleeker but not richer middle weight flavors possess a beguiling texture that carries over to the citrusy
fresh pear and granitic aromas
as I've written before
earth and tobacco scents open up what seems like an early maturing wine for this chateau
Rene Engel, Echezeaux other_regions The finer and sleeker but(from the En Orveaux climat with vines planted in 1924 and 1979). This is a big step up in quality with very ripe, earthy and spicy black fruit aromas that are a clearly pinot but the vintage is also well in evidence. The forward and supple flavors offer good depth and plenty of character plus a finish that is serious yet delicious and quite long all wrapped in dusty tannins. (88 91) 2010+
