Ypres 'LES HALLES D'YPRES' medal. No inner circleThis rare and unusual medal measures 50mm across. The obverse features the cloth halls of Ypres and is taken directly from the design by J Weiner on a medallion from 1849. The reverse is simply and poignantly engraved 'Gratitude. 18th June 1927' I have been unable to find another example of this type.
