This is a water canteen dating from the Spanish American War period (1898). It is covered in tan canvas, an stamped with USNPS which means after being used by the Army it was issued to the U. S. National Park Service. Features an original complete shoulder strap. The maker was Woolwine, which is embossed on the cap. The canvas has typical wear and minor staining, but overall this canteen is in very good condition.
