This once small town quiet street is now a bustling, hurried, diverse road. In the 1970s, in the climax of the Fiscal Crisis, more real estate became available on this street, and it quickly became occupied by diverse communities. Main Street runs through the Flushing Chinatown and also a large Jewish community near the Kew Gardens Hills.
