This is a very nice example of an original WWI German M16 Helmet shell, maker marked BF64. The original feldgrau paint is still well retained inside the shell, with about 75% still present on the exterior, with the expected wear. It does not look to have been repainted at any time. There are some scuffs and minor irregularities in the shell, but no noticeable dents or cracks. The metal liner band is still retained,
