In the army

and ceased to exist in March of 1935

The A-2 was a treasured item to the airman and was worn with as much pride as his wings

The system lasted until the late 1860s being obsoleted by the center fire system which was far safer and more reliable

Original Small Arab Assassin's Bone Handle Dagger made from French 1840 Socket Bayonet Martini-Henry Rifles In the armyOriginal Item: One Only. Most unusual but I'm sure not unique, this really is a small "Assassin's dagger" crafted from a French circa 1840 Socket Bayonet blade, which has been shortened and curved. The resulting dagger is in an ideal covert easily concealable weapon with a very strong stabbing blade. Six and one half inch blade with three and a half inch bone hilt all contained in custom old slim leather covered wood scabbard with brass top and bottom
