These are finely made chipped black obsidian dagger blades made from the volcanic glass like obsidian that is only found in the Maus Province of Papua New Guinea. The blades are then mounted in Parinarium nut paste, made from the fruit of the Parinarium or Putty Nut tree (Atuna racemosa racemosa)
