It is a standard socket bayonet used by His Majesty's forces in North America and across the Empire and throughout the Napoleonic Wars. Just a bit of surface rust on the blade, exactly as it was in the museum. The bayonet is maker marked to JOHN GILL on the 16" blade, with an overall length 20 1 2". Designed for
