On the barrel nocks form

The interior of the helmet still has the original M31 leather liner with all eight of it's fingers intact

which is still visible towards the muzzle

The grips are in good condition but does have a crack at the bottom

This is a fine example of a Russian WWII Issue SSh 36 Combat helmet, with correct shell stamping on the rear of the skirt: 1 930. It looks to have been in service post war, but still retains its original configuration liner and leather chinstrap. Size looks to be about medium approximately a US 7 1 4 (58cm) and offered in overall very good condition. There are no stress cracks, as often seen, there are no real dents
