How to Care for Your Football Jersey

You’ve just unboxed your new jersey — the colours are vibrant, the badge is crisp, and the name on the back is perfect. Now, how do you keep it that way? Here’s our complete care guide.

Washing

Always turn your jersey inside out before washing. Use cold water (30°C max) and a gentle cycle. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners — they break down the technical fibres and can damage prints.

Drying

Never tumble dry your football shirt. Hang it on a clothesline or lay it flat to dry naturally. Direct sunlight can fade colours over time, so dry in the shade when possible.

Storage

Fold your jerseys neatly rather than hanging them for long periods — hangers can stretch the shoulders. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light.

Ironing

If you must iron, use a low heat setting and never iron directly over badges, names, or numbers. Place a thin cloth over the print to protect it.

Follow these tips and your favourite kit will stay matchday-ready for years to come.
